Advanced technologies in the field of medicine were discussed at a forum in Ekaterinburg, which was dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities. The main goal of the event is to exchange experience and develop advanced drugs and equipment.
Bashkir State Medical University is represented at the event in Yekaterinburg by BSMU Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov. Young researchers, heads of scientific laboratories of the University take part in the event in conference format.
The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Albertovich Murashko addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. The Minister noted the success of co-operation within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities.
‘It was proposed to expand the existing co-operation to include co-operation between Russian and Chinese medical colleges. It is planned to make this direction one of the priority areas for the future. The Russian Ministry of Health has consistently supported the Association's activities and sees in it a huge potential for further development. We will continue to actively promote the expansion of our cooperation and welcome the creation of new educational programmes, scientific projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. I wish you, dear colleagues, fruitful discussions, new ideas and successful projects. Petr Vitalievich Glybochko, Chairman of the Russian Society of Urology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Rector of Sechenov University, also delivered a welcoming address to the participants:
‘I am pleased to welcome you all to the meeting of the Council of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities, which is held in Russia together with the Russian-Chinese Forum of Medical Innovations and Technologies. The opening of new laboratories, new research areas is a big step in our work. We would like to note that today 102 universities are present in our Association’.
For 10 years of work the interuniversity association has grown: now the association includes 102 universities of Russia and China. During this time, 25,000 students and teachers have participated in the association's events. Today at the Russian-Chinese forum the latest developments in the field of medicine were demonstrated. Among them - equipment for the treatment of urolithiasis and bladder cancer, as well as new materials and technologies for dental prostheses, created on the basis of calcium zirconate.

*For 10 years of joint work of the young scientist of BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia with the Universities of China 16 cooperation agreements have been concluded, 55 academic mobility programmes for 700 students and young scientists have been implemented, PhD programme has already been completed by 19 of our students and 12 are currently participating. The University is also developing joint scientific projects with Chinese science - there are 2 joint grants with RNF and the State Natural Science Foundation of China, more than 200 joint scientific events have been held and, as a result, more than 100 joint articles have been published in highly rated journals
‘Many technologies that have already been implemented in China, we are adapting them to our medical and educational institutions, in addition, we are following the path of development of laser technologies, robotic technologies, and today there are already robotic technologies and robots, which are created both in China and Russia, will be tested in step-by-step accessibility practically in our clinics’, - Chairman of the Russian Society of Urology Petr Glybochko.
