It's time for an examination at the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia - students take the winter session. The day before, honorary doctors of the university took an exam in urology from foreign students: professors Wolf Ferdinand Willand from Germany and Emad Iyad from the United Arab Emirates. The exam was held at the BSMU Clinic.
Willand is one of the leading experts in the field of urology in the world, a professor at the University of Regensburg. Professor Willand is an honorary doctor of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the head of the international committee within the framework of the Priority-2030 program. "We used to have an exam just on paper and now it's a new format. This is a new experience for us, "said 4th year student Raj Patel.
Conducting an exam with the participation of foreign specialists is an important step in the development of cooperation between BSMU and foreign medical institutions. This allows students to gain skills at the world level and prepare for future professional activities in the international community.
"For the second year, foreign professors have been accepted and taught here, who give both the theoretical part and the practical part and participate in taking exams from foreign students. The exam is held as a standard: students take a ticket consisting of three questions and a situational task, they have time to prepare, "said Linat Minikhanovich Kutliyarov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Teachers and honorary doctors praised the level of training of foreign students. The exam was successful, the students demonstrated deep knowledge of urology and the ability to speak English fluently.
