Friendship of peoples: sports united foreign students of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia on New Year's holidays
New Year's holidays for foreign students of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia passed with benefit. The University organized the Festival of Sports, which was attended by students, residents, graduate students and teachers of the University. Sports events popularize not only a healthy lifestyle among young people, but also unite the student team, allow students from different parts of the world to get to know each other in an informal setting and gain new knowledge about the Russian culture and culture of the countries of students of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Recall that about five thousand foreigners from near and far abroad study at the University. In total, during the New Year holidays, more than three thousand BSMU students were involved in sports and recreation events.
Festive events began on January 1. Students and teachers of BSMU took part in the "Run of Promises" campaign. From the Bashkir State Medical University, 100 students and faculty of the University took part in the race, including Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work of the Bashkir State Medical University Artur Mustafin, Chief of Staff for Emergency Situations of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia Timur Yekimov, teacher of the Department of Physical Culture of the Bashkir State Medical University Ilgam Ishgam mukhametov and others. Every year, participants write on the plate at least one of their promises, which must be fulfilled this year, and run the distance at any pace. At the start of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Irek Sagitov greeted the participants. He wished the participants to successfully overcome the distance, as well as to be healthy and successful in the new year.
From January 2 to 8, the festival of sports "Friendship of Peoples" was held among students of the University. On the basis of the educational and sports complex of BSMU No. 10, international competitions in futsal, cricket, volleyball and table tennis in the form of a championship were held. Mass ice skating was also organized. Many foreign students for the first time in their lives began to skate and shared photos, emotions with their parents. On the basis of the Dynamo stadium, swimming training sessions and classes on modern simulators were held.
Every day, on the basis of the hostel and sports hall of the Bashkir State Medical University on Repin Street, the Spartakiad was held among the hostels of the Bashkir State Medical University in fitness "Struggle for Survival," dynamic cross-fit, strength fitness, power all-around, cross-static, workout fitness.
The involvement of foreign students in sports and recreation events during the New Year holidays has become a good tradition of the University. A large number of mass sports events, training sessions are held on the basis of the Dynamo stadium. The initiator and organizer of the events is the Department of Physical Culture of BSMU.
