The university has entered into cooperation agreements with the clinic of Samarkand State Medical University and the Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan

As part of the events of the month of medical science, BSMU entered into an agreement with universities in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The agreement with the medical organization of Uzbekistan was signed by the rector of the BSMU, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Valentin Pavlov and the head of the department of pediatric surgery No. 1 of the SSMU, deputy chief physician for science at the Specialized Children's Surgical Clinic of the SSMU, Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Abdurasulovich Yusupov.

"Now we have been assigned completely new tasks, primarily the training and retraining of highly qualified medical personnel, cooperation in the field of telemedicine and the implementation of a number of other activities. And today we have fixed these agreements in our memorandum - concrete action, concrete mutual understanding has begun and a specific action plan has been outlined for the implementation of all the plans that we have planned," head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery No. 1, Deputy Chief Physician for Science of the Specialized Children's Surgical Clinic of Samarkand State Medical University, Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Abdurasulovich Yusupov.

The agreement with the Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan was signed by the rector of the BSMU, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor Valentin Pavlov and a representative of the Medical and Social Institute of Tajikistan.

The documents provide for the implementation of joint projects in the field of medical education, medical science and health care, joint scientific and educational events, an exchange program for students, residents and graduate students as part of short-term training courses, as well as academic mobility of faculty and joint participation in grants.

Currently, about 5 thousand foreign students are studying at the BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia, of which 76 came from the Republic of Uzbekistan and 972 students came to study from the Republic of Tajikistan.

6th year student Ulmasov Kakhramud Rakhmadzhonovich from Tajikistan shared why the choice in obtaining the profession of a doctor fell on the BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia:

"I entered the university in 2019 on the advice of my friends, I received a lot of positive reviews about the university. I love it here and have made a lot of friends from different countries here. It is important that all teachers are good, kind, sociable, I like to study here. In 2021, I received Russian citizenship and plan to stay here to live and work in the field of medicine. I choose a direction, I think to become an oncologist or cardiologist. Now I plan to enter residency ".
