Student Scientific Competition "Medical Linguistics: Language, Culture, Communication" Held at BSMU

On May 23, 2025, the Bashkir State Medical University hosted a student scientific competition titled "Medical Linguistics: Language, Culture, Communication". This event was organized by the Student Scientific Society "Linking Science" from the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics, and International Communication, in collaboration with the Student Scientific Society of the Department of Foreign Languages.

The competition showcased a range of innovative research projects and highlighted the intersection of language and medicine.

The results were as follows:

• 1st Place: Abazaid Mohamed Fathi (GM-402A) for his work titled "Verbal and Non-Verbal Means of Forming a Clinic's Image."
His research was supervised by Associate Professor E.N. Aleksandrova from the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics, and International Communication.

• 2nd Place: Abdelghani Abobakr Ahmed (CT-401B) for his project "Dental Terminology in Arabic, Russian, and English".
His supervisor was Senior Lecturer K.V. Chusova from the same department.

• 3rd Place: The team of Dzhafarov N.A. (L-109A), Shainurova E.F. (L-109A), Khairullin A.I. (P-116A), and Absalyamov D.V. (L-109A) for their collaborative work on "Features of Translating Medical Literature".
This project was guided by Lecturer T.V. Bogdanova from the Department of Foreign Languages.

The competition provided a valuable platform for students to present their research and engage in discussions about the role of language in the medical field.
