VII Mas-Wrestling World Championship in Mongolia gave BSMU students new victories

The VII World Championship in mas-wrestling was successfully held in Mongolia, bringing together athletes from 33 countries. Competitions were held in the Arkhangelsk aimak, in the city of Tsetserlek, located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. Such high-altitude conditions created additional difficulties for athletes during fights.

BSMU students showed excellent results at the World Cup.

Among women in category to 75 kg Tavokal Parniyan (medical faculty, L-213B) won a bronze medal.

Alade Samuel Adeola, a 6th year student of Group 601B, fought for the bronze medal in the final, losing to the Mongolian athlete with a score of 2:1, and took 4th place. 

The rest of the guys also demonstrated a spectacular struggle, taking 5-7th places.

The International Mas Wrestling Federation recognized that the BSMU Mas Wrestling Center is one of the strongest schools in the world. Coaches and teachers of the Department of Physical Culture of BSMU were awarded diplomas and medals for their contribution to the development of mas-wrestling in the world. A significant contribution to the training of athletes was made by the trainer-teacher of the Department of Physical Culture, curator for work with foreign students of the Bashkir State Medical University, coach of the team Ishmukhametov Ilgam Zinnurovich.

In addition to competitions, students were able to get acquainted with the culture and cuisine of Mongolia, relax in nature, ride horses and visit picturesque places - mountains and rivers. Each participant was presented with valuable gifts and a mascot - a Mongolian bull.

We express special gratitude to the International Mas Wrestling Federation, which covered the costs of the flight of the participants, the Mongolian Mas Wrestling Federation provided accommodation and meals for the participants.

Participants lived in traditional Mongolian yurts, immersed in nomadic life. All students returned home full of strength and energy.

It was an unforgettable journey!

A separate gratitude from the students of BSMU to the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University Pavlov Valentin Nikolaevich for creating conditions for playing sports. The university has a Dynamo pool, a fitness center and a gym where students can train all year round. BSMU provides all conditions for both study and sports.
