Scientific-Practical Journal "Point of View. East-West" accepted into the International Scopus Database

In September 2025, the Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB) of Scopus reviewed the application from the editorial board of the journal "Point of View. East-West" and approved it for inclusion in the international Scopus database. Scopus is a major bibliometric and abstract database created by Elsevier, indexing peer-reviewed scientific publications across all fields, including journals, books, and conference proceedings. It serves as a platform for searching, analyzing, and tracking scientific information and evaluating researchers' and institutions' activities.

An expert from CSAB noted that the journal publishes approximately 40 articles annually, maintaining high and comprehensive standards. The journal adheres to international norms; its abstracts in English are well-structured and informative, with some articles published in English as well. The journal assigns DOIs to its articles and maintains a full website offering open access to its content.

Established in 2014, "Point of View. East-West" has been a leading journal in ophthalmology and is included in the Higher Attestation Commission List. This achievement reflects the hard work of the entire editorial team, led by Chief Editor Professor M.M. Bikbov, Director of the Ufa Eye Research Institute. The editorial board now faces even more ambitious goals, which they hope to achieve.
