On October 3-5, a conference of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) was held in the United Arab Emirates jointly with the 16th conference of the Emirati Society of Cardiology.
The program focuses on prevention, heart failure, invasive arrhythmology, cardiomyopathies, and imaging in cardiology.
Keynote speakers include Christopher M. Kramer (ACC President), João L. Cavalcante (Head of Cardiac Imaging, Minneapolis, USA), Paul C. Cremer (Multi-format Imaging Specialist, USA), and Eugenia Gianos (Head of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at Northwell Health (USA).
Scientists from Moscow, Irkutsk and Ufa participated from Russia. 8 posters and 1 oral presentation were presented.
Elena Badykova, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Bashkir State Medical University, presented three poster reports:
- Genetics of sinoatrial node function; - Primary endpoints of patients with sinus node dysfunction; - Coronary heart disease comorbidity: 4-year follow-up and biomarkers analysis in patients with psoriasis
