Together with Tashkent State Medical University, BSMU held the International Youth Scientific and Practical Conference on Neurology

The international youth scientific and practical conference "Actual Issues of Neurology" was held by our university together with Tashkent State Medical University (TashGMU) in a hybrid format with a full-time part in the Republic of Uzbekistan on November 14, 2025. Uzbek colleagues this year celebrate the 15th anniversary of the "School of Young Neurologists" of TashGMU, which all these years has been successfully led by Professor of the Department of Neurology and Medical Psychology of TashGMU Markhamat Yakubova.

The conference was very successful. Plenary lectures by professors and 105 speeches by students and young scientists in 4 sections were heard. Our university was represented by students-circles of the Department of Neurology under the guidance of Professor Leyla Akhmadeeva (all 10 works participating in the competition were performed under her leadership), and part of the work was done together with students working in circles of other departments and even other universities.

Timur Galeev, a six-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, spoke in person in Tashkent with a report on 3D printing as a resource for scientific and educational projects in neurology, awarded 1st place. The rest of the reports from BSMU were heard online and aroused great interest of the audience and high marks from the jury.

The second place was brought to us by a fourth-year student of the medical faculty Fatiha Makhmutova with the results of her own prospective comparative study on early ultrasound markers of the formation of Morton's neuroma. The work was implemented jointly with the Department of Human Anatomy under the guidance of Associate Professor Anton Maslennikov.

Two third places were deservedly awarded to wonderful students of the pediatric faculty of BSMU: Amilia Gafurova (4th year), who presented a work done jointly with the Higher School of Regenerative, Eye and Plastic Surgery of the Bashkir State Medical University (Acting Head - MD, Director of the All-Russian Central State Medical University BSMU Olga Orenburkina) under the guidance of Associate Professor Sadyrbek Kurbanov on cognitive and affective disorders in patients with glaucoma and cataract in the preoperative period, and Camille Valitova (5th course), sharing data from a research project on sleep disorders of patients who have had cerebral stroke.

In the nomination "Best Presentation", the winners were the 4th year student of the Faculty of Medicine of the BSMU Evelina Khisamova, who performed and presented analytical work together with the student of UUTS Alexander Vyalov under the co-direction of clinical psychologist Dr.b.s. Regina Khalfina and Director of the Republican Center for Hippotherapy for Disabled Children Repub

medical workers who have undergone COVID-19, in the context of the course of hippotherapy". Sofia Musina, a 6th year student of the Faculty of Medicine, who has repeatedly spoken at various Russian and international youth conferences, was awarded the diploma "For Active Participation".

BSMU students Luiza Khairullina, Kiran Gora, Alsu Rakhimova, Aliya Asylgareeva, Milyausha Nizamova received certificates of participants.
