- You know, of course, I was lucky in life with my environment, lucky with teachers who were mostly front-line soldiers, or went through a school of polyvalent surgeons. My teachers are doctors who could operate on the heart today and have a stomach resection tomorrow. I remembered that Alexander Alexandrovich Vishnevsky began any of his lectures with a quote, so I will also quote. When Edison lectured to students, he drew a stick on the board, and then he began to draw zeros: "This is your knowledge. This is your love for the profession. These are your rewards. This is the number of books in your library. What is a wand? It's humanity. If you take and cross out this wand, then nothing will remain of you and me." The main reason for my achievements is that I did not want to let down my parents, who were saints for me, - Vladimir Vyacheslavovich shared his memories.
