Students from Kazakhstan took part in the meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Endocrinology

On November 28, a joint meeting of the Endocrinology Scientific Club of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia was held together with students of the West Kazakhstan Medical University. The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of Endocrinology, MD, Professor, Tatyana Morugova, as well as the scientific director of the circle, Ph.D., associate professor Zemfira Khamidullina.


Students from Kazakhstan underwent a cycle of endocrinology as a part of academic mobility on the basis of City Clinical Hospital No. 21. Our students conducted a tour of the campus for children - students learned a lot about the history of the Bashkir State Medical University.


During the meeting of the scientific club, students of the two universities exchanged experiences and discussed the following reports:


1. BLOOMSENSE: AI-based app, for pregnant women with gestational diabetes - Nauryzbay Symbat;


2. Epidemiology of diabetes in Kazakhstan: legislative framework and innovations - Kalybaeva Korkemay and Zmaratova Dilnaz;


3. Prevalence of iodine deficiency in Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan - Akhmetzyanova Alsou, L-611B.


In the second half of the meeting, students were asked to think about the situational tasks that our members of the circle brought from the BEST-2025 Olympiad (Nizhny Novgorod). Despite the complexity of some tasks, the guys willingly solved them.
