BSMU teachers gave lectures at Samarkand State Medical University

On December 5-6, 2025, Afanasyeva Olesya Gennadievna, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Deputy Dean of the Pediatric Faculty, was on a working visit to Samarkand. As part of academic mobility program, lectures were given to students of Samarkand State Medical University.

The program also included a visit to the private educational school "Promising Education" in the city of Samarkand with the aim of giving a lecture for schoolchildren in grades 9-11 and teachers, as well as conducting career guidance on admission to the Bashkir State Medical University. Schoolchildren asked questions about the specifics of professions in the medical field, about what skills and knowledge are necessary for a successful career.

Also during the visit, a meeting was scheduled with the chief physician of the Specialized Children's Surgical Clinic of Samarkand State Medical University (Center for Pediatric Surgery) Zh.A. Shamsiev to discuss the issue of advanced training of medical staff, the possibility of cooperation with medical universities to organize advanced training courses. The Chief Medical Officer expressed interest in establishing partnership and cooperation with the university, which could lead to improved quality of health services in the region. A business trip to Samarkand allowed not only to carry out important career guidance work, but also to establish contacts for further cooperation in the field of advanced training of medical staff. The results of the meeting open up new horizons for the development of medical education in the region.
