Bashkir State Medical University Clinic Celebrates 45th Anniversary

Bashkir State Medical University Clinic celebrates 45^th anniversary. It is one of the biggest multidisciplinary medical institution on Republic of Bashkortostan. In the republic the Clinic is considered the pioneer in performing complex operations and introducing new scientific achievements. 

During forty-five years the University Clinic has become a Federal Clinic. The medical institution includes 625 beds of round-the-clock stay, provides high-tech and specialized medical care. There are the Thoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery, Gynecology, Oncology, Urology, Abdominal and General Surgery, Therapy, Neurology Departments in the Clinic. The doctors perform unique for the republic operations there. According to the data of the Ministry of Healthcare of Republic of Bashkortostan more than twenty-two thousands patients get the professional help every year, more than ten thousands operations are performed there, about four thousands births are taken too.  

The Clinic is equipped with the latest computer and magnetic resonance tomographs, the unique digital angiographic bi installation with an electrophysiological laboratory and a system for intracardiac navigation, the single photon emission computer tomography is put into operation.

The institution conducts clinical trials of new treatments and diagnostics of diseases, blood tests and cell cultures; there is a modern Simulation center there using to train young doctors on mannequins. The Clinic has become the basis for the accreditation of doctors.

Scientific achievements are transferred not only to the specialists of the Clinic itself, but they are spread all around the republic. Every year more than 50 master classes with participation of medicine leading experts from Germany, China, Czech Republic, Holland, France are held.

Within the framework of cooperation of the University with leading universities in Germany, China and Kazakhstan, BSMU Clinic became the basis of the international practice. Every year about 100 foreign students take up internships in the Clinic.
