Students and young scientists of Bashkir State Medical University traditionally took an active part in the XXX anniversary international Pirogov Scientific Medical Conference, held at the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University in Moscow.
The event was opened by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Rector of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Anatolyevich Lukyanov, who greeted the participants and noted the importance of supporting young researchers in the field of medicine.
This year the competition was especially high: out of 1100 submitted abstracts, the expert jury selected 505 works for oral presentations. It is noteworthy that 30% of the presented studies belong to young scientists of Pirogov University, and 70% to participants from other medical universities in Russia and foreign countries.
To transfer research experience, 11 lectures and master classes from leading scientists of the Russian Federation were organized as a part of the conference, which were held both in person and online. The conference was conducted in 17 thematic sections covering the most relevant areas of modern medicine. All sections were broadcast live, and Russian and English became the official languages of the event.
BSMU students represented our university with destinction and demonstrated a high level of scientific training:
- Daria Shinkareva, 4th year medical student, made a presentation on the topic "The impact of allergic rhinitis on everyday life and psycho-emotional state." Supervisor - Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Ph.D. G.M. Nurtdinova. The study aroused keen interest among the jury and the audience of the section "Diseases of the head and neck."
- Mohd Arsalaan, a 4th year medical student, presented the results of the original study «Subjective and objective screening for early obstructive pulmonary abnormalities using global initiative for asthma symptom questionnaires and spirometry: a prospective study». Supervisor - Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, MD R.Kh. Zulkarneev. As a result of the competition, Mohd Arsalaan deservedly became the winner in the nomination "Outpatient Therapy."
