Students of the 4th year of the English-speaking medical faculty, who studied at the Department of Neurology, took an active part in problem trainings and discussions of patients presented by our colleagues from foreign partner universities - Azerbaijan Medical University and Osh State University. Both classic cases, for example, patients with cerebral strokes, chronic cerebral ischemia, and rare hereditary forms, were analyzed. Students especially remembered a patient from Kyrgyzstan with myotonic dystrophy, presented online in "live mode," where it was possible to ask the professor and his students in Osh to show those symptoms that were most interesting and indicative for differential diagnosis of the disease.
Professor Leyla Akhmadeeva, who conducted this course, and students from foreign countries highly appreciated the possibility of such practically-oriented analyzes, which were presented by professors Furkat Yusupov, Ayten Mammadbeyli, associate professor Aigyun Musaeva and their students as a part of programs of inter-university academic mobility in a hybrid format and thanked the leadership of BSMU and Baku and Osh teachers.
Academic mobility programs in neurology are ongoing. In April, problematic trainings are planned with neurologists and rehabilitologists - heads of departments Zilola Mavlyanova (Samarkand State Medical University, Republic of Uzbekistan) and Sergey Vasilevsky (Grodno Medical University, Republic of Belarus).
