The University hosted the international subject Olympiad in Neurology "Neurology-2026"

Together with Tashkent State Medical University, on March 27, 2026, the next, which has become traditional and annual, International Olympiad in Neurology in a hybrid format in three languages: English, Russian, Uzbek was successfully held.

BSMU students performed well. In the individual championship, the 2nd place was deserved by our fourth-year student of the English-speaking medical faculty Rishab Raj. "Gold" and "bronze" were awarded to students from Tashkent and Mari State Medical Universities.

At the first stage, students were offered test tasks, at the second - solving situational problems, at the third - an oral blitz survey.

Among the three best speakers from among the other members of the BSMU team, the organizing committee noted the already known fourth-year students from India and Pakistan who participate in the work of the student scientific society and previously submitted their articles and works to the competitions of the Department of Neurology and international competitions: Arsalaan Mohd, Akber Shahin и Hemmannahalli Thammannagowda Nischitha.

We thank the professors-neurologists from Tashkent State Medical University represented by the head of the department Gulnora Rakhimbaeva and the head of the youth school Markhamat Yakupova for many years of fruitful cooperation and a huge contribution to the organization of this Olympiad. Students expressed their gratitude to their dean — Professor Ildar Lutfarakhmanov for constant support, professor of the Department of Neurology of the Bashkir State Medical University Leyla Akhmadeeva for preparing for the Olympiad, expressing a desire to continue working in the student scientific circle led by her, the head of the neurological circle Fatikha Makhmutova for organizational assistance and regular information and to her neurology teachers, generously sharing knowledge and motivating students.
