BSMU rose in the ranking of the best universities in Russia Forbes-2026

Four higher educational institutions of Bashkiria were included in the top-100 best universities in Russia according to Forbes. The list includes Bashkir State Medical University (61st place), Eastern Economic and Legal Humanitarian Academy (70th place), Ufa University of Science and Technology (89th place) and Ufa State Oil Technical University (96th place).

Compared to last year, the University increased its position by 17 lines (2025 - 78th place, 2024 - 86).

The long list includes universities that have Russian accreditation and the right to issue state diplomas that have undergraduate or specialist programs, and the number of students in the academic year 2024/2025 was at least 400 people. Universities were evaluated according to five key criteria: the quality of networking, reputation among employers, international reputation, academic environment and the number of university graduates on the Forbes list of billionaires.

The university has improved its performance in key areas: networking quality, international recognition and academic environment. According to the key criteria "international recognition" and "academic environment," medical university have the highest rates among the universities in the region.
