Sechenov University hosts a forum of foreign medical students. In the history of Russian medical education, he became the first for future doctors who came to study in Russia.
Sechenov University and the Association "Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Higher Educational Institutions" organized Medunity Russia at the initiative of foreign students themselves.
Medunity Russia is attended by students from India, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Lebanon, Angola and other countries. These are guys who study at 36 universities in 29 cities and 22 regions of Russia.
The BSMU team of the Ministry of Health of Russia was presented at the forum by Associate Professor Guzel Maratovna Abdullina and students Said Chegini Mohamed (Iran), Om Kumar Sahu (India), Manglukeni Robert Ndatyole (Namibia) and Rossain Asmaa (Morocco).
The official language of the forum was Russian, and this is no coincidence. Studying the language and culture of the country in which you study and with which you may connect your professional trajectory is an important part of the life of foreign students in Russia.
The central event of Medunity Russia 2026 is the International Competition for Young Scientists Medical Exploration Bridge. Robert Ndatyole, a student of the Faculty of Medicine of BSMU Manglukeni, presented her work in the field of fundamental and applied science at the competition and won first place.
The BSMU delegation also attended a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia to the Russian Federation, Mrs. Monica Ndilyavike Nashandi.
In the coming days, Medunity Russia will host discussions, a literary competition, master classes on win-tech entrepreneurship, Russian language and emergency care, sports games and excursions.
