The winners of the intra-university Olympiad "Pathophysiologist-2026" of BSMU have been determined

The second (main) round of the Student Intra-University Olympiad "Pathophysiologist-2026" on pathological physiology for foreign students using the intermediary language (English) took place.

The Olympiad aroused great interest among foreign students: 120 students of the 3rd year of the Faculty of Medicine took part in the qualifying round I on June 3, 2026, which was held on the basis of the BSMU Federal Accreditation Center. As a result of testing in the first round, 19 people were selected.

The main II round consisted of two stages. During the first stage, the students were offered 11 situational tasks, according to the results of which 10 people went to the Olympics finals, who demonstrated brilliant knowledge of the mechanisms of disease development and non-standard clinical thinking.

The key test of the II round was a quiz, during which the finalists showed their deep knowledge of pathophysiology, answering questions in such sections of the discipline as immunopathology, tumor process, pathophysiology of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine systems, etc.

According to the results of a tense struggle, the prizes were distributed as follows:

1st place - Modi Phenil Piyushkumar (L306B) and Hakue Nazrul (L 321B IN)

2nd place - Khan Soyab (L 321A IN) and Babu Lal Dharam Singh (L 331A IN)

3rd place - Vijay Anant (L 320B IN) and Bank Sree Harshitha (L 333A IN)
