BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia entered the TOP rating of the digital reputation of medical universities in the country

The analytical agency PressIndex has published the results of an annual study of the Internet attractiveness and digital reputation of medical and pharmaceutical universities in Russia at the end of 2026.

Bashkir State Medical University showed high performance and confidently entered the top ten leaders of the rating, taking 6th place.

Our University was on a par with the leading metropolitan medical universities in the country.

The reputation of a medical university is formed not only by academic achievements and the results of scientific work. For applicants, students, the professional community and a wide audience, the digital environment is also important - how often the university appears in the media and social networks, in what context it is discussed, how the audience reacts to publications and how noticeable the university is in its own information agenda.

The rating calculation included five key components: media presence, assessed by the number of mentions and reach in the media and social networks; reputational image, determined by the tone and proportion of publications with prestige markers; the interest of applicants, identified through the discussion of admission; media authority, measured by citation indices and the significance of university mentions in the media; as well as university communications characterized by audience engagement in official accounts (likes, comments, reposts and views)".

Today, the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia is not just a regional university, but one of the backbone centers that are firmly included in the formation of the country's medical agenda. Proof of this is the fact that in terms of the total coverage of views of materials on the activities of the university, BSMU is second only to the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov.
