BSMU delegation takes part in the International Youth Festival

The opening ceremony of the International Youth Festival has started in Yekaterinburg. The opening ceremony of the International Youth Festival (MMF) began at the Yekaterinburg-Expo IEC.

The International Youth Festival takes place in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17, its motto is "Follow the Dream." It was visited by 10 thousand young leaders aged 14-17 from 191 countries of the world. Among them are representatives of the Bashkir State Medical University - students from the Republic of Chad and India, and Svetlana Yurievna Nikitina, a teacher of the basics of volunteering.

For the first time in the history of festivals, applications from foreigners received more than 30 thousand more than from Russians - almost 72 thousand.

At the official opening, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin addressed the participants:

"This year you gathered in the capital of the Urals, Yekaterinburg - the city where Europe and Asia meet, and history lives in literally every stone.

For centuries, ideas were born on the Ural land that changed our country for the better. The first factories, the first industrial revolution in Russia, many hundreds of modern scientific breakthroughs. Where, if not here - in one of the main centers of the industrial, cultural, intellectual heritage of Russia - young leaders from different countries to discuss how our life is changing with the advent of new technologies, what the world of the future should be like.

There is one feature in the Russian language: the word "мир" is friendship, consent. And at the same time, "мир" is a planet: humanity, all countries and peoples of the Earth. And this explains a lot in the character of the multinational people of Russia, in our decisions and actions.

If we are friends, then firmly and for a long time. If we live in a neighborly way, then we want everything to be fair and respectful to each other."

The exhibition space of the festival will acquaint guests with innovative projects in Russia. The exposition will clearly demonstrate promising domestic technologies that determine the future of key industries today.

The main task of the forum is to help young people from 191 countries establish a dialogue, share best practices and jointly find solutions for the world's problems of the future.

"I am still impressed by how high the level of preparation was shown by the organizers. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail, everything went at a real magical level! Many thanks to everyone who put a piece of soul into this action.

My goal was simple and at the same time global: meet new people, listen to wise lectures from really deep speakers and make friends around the world. I am leaving with a baggage of knowledge, warm memories and contacts of people from different parts of the planet," - a student of the Faculty of Medicine of the Bashkir State Medical University from the Republic of Chad Akhmat Mahamat Abderaman shared his impressions.

The concept of the IYF-2026 program was based on seven key areas that determine the sustainable development of Russia and the world. These included culture, healthcare, ecology, education, technology, transport system and digital services.
