The two-stage master-class «Various Indications and Techniques of type A Onabotulinumtoxin Injection " is completed

The two-stage master-class «Various Indications and Techniques of type A Onabotulinumtoxin Injection " is completed. More than twenty doctors from different medical institutions of Ufa, BSMU Clinics and BSMU students (interns, graduate students and students from the Neurology with Courses of Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics Department, including Indian citizens) took part in it as the students. The masters demonstrated the methods of drug recovery, selection of injection points, dose calculation and technique of injections on six patients with various diseases: chronic migraine and muscle dystonia - facial hemispasm, blepharospasm, dystonic tremor, and spastic torticollis. The master-class was shot and all the patients were invited for control examination in BSMU Clinic in a month after the injection.

Organizer and lecturer of this master class was Prof. Akhmadeeva Leila Rinatovna, the Neurology with Courses of Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics Department, head of the "Psychology, pedagogy, neurology, neurorehabilitation" Scientific and Educational Center at Bashkir State Medical University, a member of Interregional Public Organization experts in botulinum toxin therapy (http://botulin.ru/), of Russian Rehabilitators Union (https://rehabrus.ru/), of the Association of Interdisciplinary Medicine (https://intermeda.ru/), Chairman of the Bashkir branch of the Society of Specialists in Evidence-Based Medicine (http://osdm.org/), Professor of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan (http://www.anrb.ru/).

Great thank to the leadership of BSMU, BSMU Clinic, participants and patients who took part in the master class, all our teachers, with the help of whom we constantly introduce modern, proven and effective methods of treatment and rehabilitation at the University Hospital and teach these methods.
