Galina Vladimirovna Babushkina graduaded the Medical Faculty of the Bashkir State Medical University in 1981, has been working as a cardiologist since 1981, was the head of the admissions department at the Cardiology Dispensary in Ufa from 1982 to 1986. G.V. Babushkina studied clinical residency at the Department of the Internal Medicine No.4 at the 2^nd Moscow State Medical Institute named after N.I. Pirogov, worked as the head of the Laser Therapy Department at the Cardiology Dispensary in Ufa from 1988 to 1995, became the head of the Rehabilitation Center at the Cardiology Dispensary in 1995, an assistant at the Department of Pharmacology No.1 with a course in Clinical Pharmacology at BSMI. G.V. Babushkina has been an assistant and later a professor at the Department of Hospital therapy No.1 at BSMU.

G.V. Babushkina defended a candidate’s dissertation on the topis: “ Combined Helium-Neon Laser Therapy of patients with ischemic heart disease”, defended a doctoral dissertations on the topic: “Stage Laser Therapy of patients with ischemic heart disease (clinical-pathogenetic and follow-up aspects)”, served as the scientific secretary of the dissertation council at BSMI under the Ministry of Health of Russia and was a member of the problem commission of cardiology.

G.V. Babushkina holds the highest medical qualification as a cardiologist,is the author of more than 300 scientific and educational-methodical works, including 5 monographs and 6 author’s certificated for inventions, is the member of the editorial board of the journal “Laser Medicine”.
