Svetlana Arkadyevna Frid was Soros Scholarship recipient in 1995 and graduated the faculty of General Medicine BSMI with a red diploma in 1997, entered the clinical residency in the Department of Internal Medicine No.1 and completed internship in the Biochemistry Laboratory at E. Moniz Institute in Lisabon, Portugal, became an assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine No.1 at BSMI 2000. S.A. Frid holds the position of associate professor in the Department of Hospital Therapy No.1 at BSMU and provides consultative work at the Pepublican Clinical Hospital for War Veterans.

S.A. Frid completed a candidate dissertation titled “State of Carbohydrate-Energy and lipid Metabolism an Arterial Hypertension” under the guidance of professor L.N. Mingazetdinova and E.G. Davletov, defended in the specialties of cardiology and biochemistry in 2000, published 169 articles and abstracts, 4 monographs and 4 teaching manuals.
