Biography: Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (since 2006), Honored Doctor of the Republic of Bashkortostan (1998) and the Russian Federation (2008), Honored Scientist of the Republic of Bashkortostan (2002), Excellent Health Worker (2002), Knight of the Order of Salavat Yulaev (2012)

In 1977 he graduated from the Tainyashevskaya secondary school in the Chekmagushevsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Graduated from the Bashkir State Medical Institute in 1983. In 1983-1985. studied in clinical residency at the Department of Hospital Surgery of the Bashkir State Medical Institute, in 1985-1987 worked as the head of the admissions department of City Clinical Hospital No. 6 in Ufa. Since 1987 he has been working at the Department of General Surgery of the Bashkir State Medical University, until 1991 as an assistant, since 1991 as an associate professor, since 1996 as a professor. Since 1997, he has been the head of the department of general surgery at BSMU.
Based on the results of scientific research, the following were defended: a candidate's thesis «Clinical and experimental substantiation of the feasibility of using the suture-adhesive method in intestinal surgery» (Kazan, 1989) and a doctoral thesis «Clinical and experimental substantiation of the use of allogeneic transplants and medical lasers in the surgical treatment of patients with focal diseases and liver damage» (Moscow, 1995).
