Department of Epidemiology belongs to the Faculty of Preventive Medicine
At the Department of Epidemiology, the following specialties are trained: General Medicine, Pediatrics, Medical and Preventive Care and Dentistry, direction of health organization, direction (master's program) Organization of first aid in emergency and extreme situations, bachelor's program in the direction of training Nursing, residency Epidemiology.
Disciplines taught: "Epidemiology", "Organization of anti-epidemic measures in emergency situations", "Immunoprophylaxis of infectious diseases", "Disinfectology".
In working with students of the specialty medical and preventive care and residents in the specialty of epidemiologists, the department works closely with the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Federal Budgetary Healthcare Institution "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology" in the Republic of Bashkortostan, medical organizations of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

With the staff of the Department of Epidemiology,guidelines were issued for the prevention and anti-epidemic measures for viral hepatitis with a blood-contact mechanism of transmission of B, D and C, which were the basis of the order of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan No. 105-D of 06.02.95 "On measures to reduce the incidence of viral hepatitis B, D and C in the republic, the organization and conduct of vaccine prophylaxis of viral hepatitis B"; teaching aids "Epidemiology and prevention of occupational diseases by viral hepatitis B, D and C among medical workers", (Ufa, 2001), "Legal and organizational framework of anti-epidemic measures in the foci of infectious diseases" (Ufa, 2010); methodological recommendations "System of epidemiological and epizotological surveillance of echinococcosis" (Ufa, 2004).
To optimize the educational process of teaching students, in particular students of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine, the staff of the department has created and actively uses an electronic database of regulatory and methodological documents of the system of state sanitary and epidemiological regulation, including federal laws, sanitary rules and regulations, guidelines, manuals, orders, orders, etc. A printed analogue used by students in the performance of research work, in preparation for both practical classes and the current exam, and for the state final certification. For the systematic preparation of students for practical and final classes, the department also created complexes of multimedia accompaniment of lectures and practical classes,
a block of electronic situational tasks and computer testing is carried out for intermediate and final certification of students.
