Teaching at the Department of Pathological Anatomy is carried out in the following disciplines:

- Pathological anatomy, clinical pathological anatomy in the specialties of General Medicine (including using an intermediary language (English)), Pediatrics;

- Pathological anatomy in the specialties of Dentistry (including using an intermediary language (English), Medical and preventive medicine, Medical biochemistry.

Postgraduate professional education is carried out in the specialty of Pathological anatomy in clinical residency.

Lectures, conducting practical classes at the department are carried out using modern technologies in the educational process: multimedia support, current control of students' knowledge using computer test programs. Interactive technologies of pedagogical activity are actively used.

In teaching students, the competence approach is implemented by forming students' skills of independent morphological diagnostics of general pathological processes and organ pathology. To do this, the educational process at the department is equipped with microscopes, sets of micro-preparations. There is a museum of macropreparations, in which macropreparations are collected and dynamically updated in all sections of pathological anatomy. The histological laboratory of the department plays an important role in demonstrating histological techniques to students, updating sets of educational micro-charts.

To increase the visibility of the disciplines taught, the possibilities of the pathology department, on the basis of which the department is located, are actively used: students visit the autopsy room, clippings of surgical and biopsy materials.

To help students, the department has prepared and published training and teaching aids:

"Pathological anatomy. Terminological dictionary" (UMO vulture), "Principles of design and structure of diagnosis. Medical certificate of death",

"Diagnosis and medical certificate of death in pediatrics",

"Rules of registration of pathoanatomic diagnosis and medical certificate of death in obstetric pathology".

The disciplines taught in all specialties are provided with educational and methodological complexes. Educational and methodological complexes include:

- Federal State Educational Standard of HPE;

- Qualification characteristics of the specialist

- The main educational program (OOP) of a specialist;

- curriculum;

- the working program of the discipline;

- annotation of the lecture course (methodological developments of lectures);
