Department of Therapy and Occupational Diseases with the course of IDPO

The Department of Therapy and Occupational Diseases with the course of Postgraduate Education was established on 01.09.2018 (on the basis of the Rector's order No. 52 of 25.04.2018) as a result of the merger of the following departments:

1) The Department of Therapy and Clinical Pharmacology of IDPO was organized in November 1997 (Rector's Order No. 764-k dated 25.11.97), then it was renamed in 2010 by Order No. 52 dated 26.02.2010.

2) Department of Occupational Health and Occupational Diseases;

3) The course of occupational hygiene and occupational diseases of IDPO.

The Department of Therapy and Occupational Diseases with the EITI course was the successor of the Department of Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Diseases, organized in September 1974 on the basis of the Ufa Research Institute of Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic.

The heads of the department were Associate Professor F. D. Bulatova (1974 -1975), Professor V. R. Chavpetsov (1975 - 1985), associate Professor Rashit Mullanurovich Ibragimov (1985 - 1989).

In 1990, the Department of Toxicology, Occupational Pathology, Occupational and Environmental Hygiene of the Faculty of Advanced Medical Training was organized, it was headed by Professor F. G. Murzakaev. In September 1996, the Department of Clinical Toxicology and Occupational Diseases with the course of IPO began its work at the medical Faculty (Order No. 30 of 07/24/1996).

Professor Zakiya Sagadatovna Teregulova was appointed head of the department. She was the chief toxicologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, an excellent health worker of the USSR.

In 2005, the department was introduced into the structure of the Medical and Preventive Faculty and renamed the Department of Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Diseases with a course of IPO.

Professor Akhat Barievich Bakirov, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Scientist of the of Bashkortostan heads the Department of Therapy and Occupational Diseases with the course of IDPO since 2018.

 

The Department of Therapy and Occupational Diseases with the course of IDPO is located on the basis of the Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Medicine and Human Ecology (postal address: 450106 Ufa, ul. Kuvykina, 94, tel. 255-50-75, and Republican Clinical Hospital named after G.G.Kuvatov, 450005, Ufa, Dostoevsky, 132).   The total area for teaching is 578.8 sq.m., is 14.1 sq.m per student.

A complex of modern methodological support of the educational process in all studied disciplines has been created, taking into account the modern innovative approach. For the period 2019-2023, 16 textbooks, 22 methodological recommendations were published, 15 articles on educational and methodological work were published. The use of "simulation" technologies has been introduced. Distance learning technologies using electronic learning tools are used. The program of continuing medical education is being successfully implemented.

       

Over the past 5 years, the staff of the Department of Software has developed work programs for students: "Occupational diseases" (specialty 32.05.01.–Preventive medicine) "Internal diseases" specialty 32.05.01.–Preventive medicine),"Occupational hygiene" specialty 32.05.01.–Preventive medicine), "Healthy lifestyle" specialty 32.05.01.–Preventive medicine. "Fundamentals of healthy nutrition" Specialty 32.05.01.–Medical and preventive care.

 

        Educational work with residents is organized in the specialties "Therapy", "Occupational Pathology", "Clinical pharmacology", "Gastroenterology", "Rheumatology", "Endocrinology". 143 residents were trained from 2018 to 2023.

 

            During the current period, 1161 doctors have been trained at the department, including in the specialties "Therapy" -549, "Occupational Pathology" -510, "Clinical pharmacology" -53, "Gastroenterology"-201, "Rheumatology"-31, "Endocrinology"-108 people.

 

           Correspondence counseling has been organized (a remote form for trained residents, graduate students, practitioners using electronic means).
