Department of Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine with courses of thermal Trauma and Transfusiology of IDPO

The department was organized in February 1989 by the decision of the Academic Council of the BGMI after a major man-made disaster near the Ulu-Telyak station, when the need for targeted training of doctors to provide emergency medical care in emergency situations became apparent. At the beginning of its activity, the department laid the foundations for the training of doctors of visiting teams of ambulance stations and rescue teams. Since 2001, a course of training of doctors on thermal trauma has been organized, since 2007 a course on transfusiology has been opened. The clinical base of the department is GBUZ multidisciplinary hospital No. 18. Ufa together with the Republican Burn Center, GBUZ Republican ambulance station with the center of disaster medicine, GBUZ Republican blood transfusion station.

The department trains doctors in residency in two specialties Emergency medical care and Transfusiology in the amount of 4320 hours.(2 OOP programs)

Primary retraining of doctors with at least 3 years of experience in the specialties of Emergency medical care and Transfusiology in the amount of 504 hours.(2 PP programs)

Advanced training of doctors in the amount of 72-144 hours in two specialties Emergency medical care and Transfusiology (6 PC programs)

Since 2017, the department has been training doctors and paramedics on cycles of continuous medical education in the amount of 36 hours (14 programs of NMO)

Since 2022, the department has been conducting master's degree training in the specialty "Public Health" in the direction of "Organization of first aid in emergency and extreme situations" in the amount of 4320 hours.

Professors Kunafin M.S. and Hunafin S.N. are members of the educational and methodological Council of IPO BSMU.
