Leading infectious diseases specialists and immunologists of Russia took part in the All-Russian Conference "Infectious Diseases as an Interdisciplinary Issue – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" in Ufa

On 13-14 September 2019, the X All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Infectious Diseases as an Interdisciplinary Issue – Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" was held in the "Toratau" Congress Hall. The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists, and Bashkir State Medical University organized the Conference. The Conference included the plenary session of the Board of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists of the Russian Federation.

Azat Rakhmatullin, First Deputy Minister, greeted all the participants on behalf of the acting Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan. He briefly announced the history of formation and achievements of the infectious disease service of the Republic. Professor Vitaly Viktorov, Vice-rector for regional health development, doctor of Medical Sciences, welcomed the conference participants on behalf of rector of Bashkir State Medical University.

Professor Elena Malinnikova, chief freelance specialist in infectious diseases of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, head of the Virology department at Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education, doctor of Medical Sciences, Member of the Board of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists, made the welcoming speech and the report. In her report "The Current state of the problem of the infectious and parasitic diseases spread in the Russian Federation», she emphasized the relevance of the problem of infectious diseases in the Russian Federation and ways to solve the problems.

- Professor Viktor Maleev, academician of RAS, Deputy Chairman of the Board of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists, doctor of Medical Sciences;

- Professor Gorelov Alexander, corresponding member of RAS, Deputy Chairman of the Board of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists;

- Professor Vadim Pokrovskiy, academician of RAS, member of the Board of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists, head of the Federal Scientific and Methodological Center of the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of Russia for the prevention and control of AIDS, doctor of Medical Sciences;

- Professor Mikhailov Mikhail, corresponding member of RAS, Board Member of National Scientific Society of Infectious Diseases Specialists;

- Professor Vladimir Gorodin, doctor of Medical Sciences, Deputy Director for coordination of infectious service of National Medical Research Center of Phthisiopulmonology and Infectious Diseases, doctor of Medical Sciences;

- Kalyuzhin Oleg, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of Clinical Immunology and Allergology of Sechenov University;

- Professor Vladimir Martynov, doctor of Medical Sciences, head of the Infectious Diseases department of Ryazan State Medical University;

- Professor Valishin Damir, chief freelance specialist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan on Infectious Diseases, doctor of Medical Sciences, head of the Infectious Diseases department with the Course of IAPE in BSMU;

- Khasanova Guzel, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Infectious Diseases department with the Course of IAPE in BSMU, and other leading scientists in the field of infectious diseases and related specialties.

Participants of the Conference were chief specialists of healthcare authorities; chief physicians of hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers; infectious disease doctors and related specialties, students of higher and additional professional education of medical universities.

At the end of the Conference, specialists received certificates in the following specialties: Gastroenterology, Otorhinolaryngology, Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Infectious Diseases, General Medical Practice (Family Medicine), Healthcare organization and Public health, Pediatrics, Therapy, and Epidemiology for 12 credit units.

The Conference aroused great interest among the medical community of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Reports of leading infectious diseases specialists and immunologists of Russia came to listen to more than 1,000 people, most of whom are doctors of cities and regions of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
