BSMU confirmed the position in the second group of the special part of the grant of the program "Priority-2030"

By the decision of the Council on support of development programs of educational organizations of higher education within the framework of implementation of the program of strategic academic leadership "Priority-2030" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia from 14.12.2023 the list of universities for granting the special part of the grant in 2024 was approved.

BSMU again confirmed the position in the second group of the special part of the grant to the track "Territorial and / or sectoral leadership", which was taken from the first day of the program "Priority 2030" and will participate in the program in 2024.

On December 2, 2023 BSMU, as a university-recipient of the special part of the grant, presented a report on the work done in 2023 before the Grants Council of the Ministry of Education and Science.

Valentin Pavlov, Rector of Bashkir State Medical University, the university participating in the special part of the grant under the track "Sectoral and (or) Territorial Leadership", noted that due to participation in the "Priority 2030" program, the transformation of the university made it possible to create new types of activities, especially innovative ones:

- We have become a large university, surpassing the 15000-student mark, while continuing a steady growth in the number of international students. The university implements strategic projects, produces new medical technologies and products. A higher school of regenerative, eye and plastic surgery was opened, which became the basis for the production of medical devices and medical devices. For the purpose of import substitution, technological chains have been formed for the production of ophthalmology products. We are creating Russia's first domestic chelator for synthesizing a radioactive drug for heart scintigraphy.

The next important project is the Center for Robotic Surgery on the basis of the University Clinic, which combines the training of scientific research and students for professional activity. The Center actively uses our developments - "digital patient" and "digital surgeon" for training of surgical specialists; operations are performed on Da Vinci Si and Da Vinci Xi robot and Artis Pheno angiograph. The University as a full partner actively participates in large-scale federal projects of the Republic of Bashkortostan (world-class Eurasian Research Center and interuniversity student campus, where the university occupies 6,000 square meters)".

In 2021, Bashkir State Medical University became one of the universities-holders of the basic and special part of the grant for the track "Territorial and (or) sectoral leadership" within the framework of the federal program "Priority 2030".
