USA professor gave the lecture for students of Medical College

On 1 October 2018 ProfessorSelina Le May-Klippe, Fulbright scholar (New York) gave the lecture on the topic "Nursing process" to the students majoring in Nursing at BSMU Medical College.

The lecture discussed the goals, stages and role of the nursing process in the treatment of the patient. Previously, Professor Selina Le May-Klippe held the lecture on the topic "Stress" for the students majoring in Nursing.

It was the USA who introduced the concept of "nursing process" at the first half of the 50-ies years of XX century. In 1955, Lydia Hall's article "Quality of nursing care" was published in the journal "Public health news". At the article the researcher gave her description of the nursing process. The proposed interpretation was not met with universal nurses’ approval, and the literature increasingly began to appear of the new interpretation.

Professor Selina Le May-Klippe teaches the students at BSMU during the fall semester. In September, together with Professor Leila Akhmadeeva, she held lectures for students of the faculty of Pediatrics, residents and took part in the Anniversary Neurological Readings.
